Dress for dust and mud
Expect to come back covered in trail dust, so leave the good clothes at the hotel. After rain the tracks hold mud and the puddles get thrown up as you drive, which most riders count as the best part. Sunglasses help, and a scarf over the mouth keeps the dust down.
