The Town Is Inland — So Is the Off-Road
Manavgat is the working town behind the beach strip, four kilometres up from the coast, and that is precisely why it suits a quad day. The trails start where the farmland ends, and the Manavgat quad safari is our Side departure with a free pick-up from your Manavgat hotel. The base sits a short drive away, so the transfer eats very little of your morning.
There is no separate Manavgat base and we are not going to pretend otherwise. What you get is the same station, the same instructors and the same two routes as guests staying on the coast, minus the queue for a taxi.
Riding Time, Not Total Time
The figure that matters on any quad listing is how long you actually drive. On this one it is about one and a half to two hours of continuous off-road riding, inside a half-day out. Everything else — the transfer, the briefing, the supervised test drive, the wash-up at the end — is the scaffolding around that.
Forest or River
Two routes leave the same base. The standard Off-Road Forest Track is dense trees, natural obstacles, dust and deep mud. The River Side Track leans into water crossings instead, and it is priced separately from the forest route. Ask on WhatsApp while you reserve if the water version appeals and the team will tell you the difference before you decide.
The Facility Nobody Advertises
The base has changing cabins and showers, and using them is included. After a couple of hours in Manavgat dust that is not a luxury — it is the difference between going back to your hotel clean and going back to it wearing the trail. Bring a complete change of clothes and a towel. Goggles and bandanas are on sale at the base if you did not pack any.
Who Drives
Drivers must be sixteen or over and bring photo ID for the base; a passenger from six years rides securely belted. Guests with back or neck problems should take the passenger seat rather than the controls. Beyond that, the supervised test drive decides: ride it well and the quad is yours for the route, and if you would sooner be driven — or the instructors judge conditions are not right for you today — you cover the identical trail as a passenger.
Handling the Machine
Nothing about a tour quad requires prior experience. Machines of this class sold in Türkiye run a belt-driven CVT, so there is no clutch and nothing to shift; the ratio changes continuously as the revs climb. The throttle is a thumb lever, not a twist grip, which is a deliberate safety design — a jolt through the handlebars cannot open the throttle for you, and both hands stay wrapped around the grips.
Where Next
Want the river as well as the trail? The quad and rafting combo adds a twelve-kilometre run through Köprülü Canyon to the same day. Prefer a seat for two under a roll cage? Compare the Manavgat buggy safari. Every departure with live prices is on the ride list.
